Pricing
Pricing
Indicative ranges, engagement models and what actually drives the price of a project.
I do not believe in price lists that promise a specific figure without knowing the scope — that always ends in surcharges. Below you will find honest ranges for each project type, three engagement models and the factors that move the price up or down. I give a fixed price after a free scope analysis and stick to it.

Hourly (T&M) — 90–160 PLN net per hour. Choose it when the scope will evolve or you do not yet know how big the problem is; you pay for time actually worked, with a monthly hours report. Fixed price — a set price for a closed scope, paid at milestones. Choose it when requirements are known and firm: a website, a store, an MVP, a single integration. Retainer — a fixed monthly amount for an hours package. Choose it after launch, when the application is live and needs continuous development without renegotiating scope each time.
What pushes the price up
Unusual business logic — custom discount rules, approval workflows, multi-level permissions. Integrations with systems that lack a good API — then an intermediate layer has to be built. Data migration from a legacy system, especially when the data is inconsistent. Multilingual and multi-currency setups. Legal requirements beyond the standard — extensive WCAG accessibility, specific information duties. Time pressure — work outside the queue and shortened deadlines. Project history — taking over code without documentation or tests always starts with an audit, not with development.
What brings the price down — and where hidden costs sit
A proven ready-made template instead of custom design. Narrowing the scope to a single sales channel. Delivering complete content and images before work starts — the most common source of delay, and therefore of higher cost. Reusing existing integrations instead of building from scratch. Hidden costs worth planning for up front: hosting and domain, commercial modules (200–2,000 PLN one-off), SaaS subscriptions, product photography (2,000–10,000 PLN), team training and technical care after launch.
How to read a quote you received
Check whether the scope is closed or described vaguely — “store implementation” without a feature list always ends in surcharges. Check whether payments, shipping, legal content, technical SEO and training are included or billed separately. Check who owns the code and whether you get repository access from day one. Check what happens after launch — whether there is a support period and on what terms. The cheapest quote without these points usually turns out to be the most expensive in year two.
What is not in the price list
The client-side running costs: hosting (100–400 PLN/month for a store), domain, commercial modules and any platform SaaS subscriptions. I do not hide them — quite the opposite, I always list them separately in a quote so you know the full cost of running the project, not just the cost of building it.

FAQ
Why is there no single price for a website?
Because a business card site and a service with online booking are two different projects with different workloads. The range depends on the number of pages, whether the design is custom, which integrations are needed and whether you supply the content. After a free scope analysis I give one fixed price and stick to it — with no surcharges during the project.
Is the listed price final?
The price list is indicative. The final, fixed price appears in the proposal after a scope analysis — and under fixed price it does not change during the project. Scope changes mid-project are quoted separately and always before the work is done, so you never learn about a cost after the fact.
How much does it cost to maintain a site or store?
The basic package (updates, backups, uptime and load-time monitoring, minor fixes) starts at 300 PLN net per month for a site and 400 PLN for a store. A development retainer with a guaranteed response time and an hours package starts at 2,000 PLN net per month. On top of that comes hosting: 30–100 PLN/month for a site, 100–400 PLN/month for a store.
Can payment be split into stages?
Yes. Under fixed price we split payments into milestones — usually a 30% deposit and the remaining instalments after each stage is accepted. Larger projects can be divided into more stages. Invoices carry 7–14 day payment terms.
Do you work with small budgets?
Yes — I deliver projects from 1,500 PLN net. On a limited budget I usually suggest starting with a proven template with a well-designed structure and content, then growing in stages. It is better to launch with a simpler site that works than to wait a year for the perfect version.
How does billing and invoicing work?
Invoiced with 7–14 day payment terms. Under T&M — monthly with an hours report, under fixed price — at milestones, under retainer — a fixed monthly amount. Invoices are issued by Inoventis Solutions Krzysztof Słonina (VAT ID PL5792204777).
