WordPress Website Care — Packages & SLA [2026]

WordPress website care comes in packages from 99–190 PLN net/month (updates, backup, monitoring), through 300–500 PLN/month (security scan, small tasks, report), to 799 PLN net and more for stores and services. What the contract should include: scope, an SLA with response times, backups with restore tests and reporting.

WordPress website care is an ongoing support model: the vendor takes responsibility for updates, backups, monitoring, security and small tasks — within a package with a defined scope and response time. The difference between "administration" and "care" is subtle but important: administration is a list of tasks, care is a contract for delivering them with an SLA, reporting and responsibility. The market prices WordPress website care from 99–190 PLN net per month for basic packages, through 300–500 PLN for standard with faster response, to 799 PLN net and more for extended care over stores and services.

Najważniejsze: WordPress website care comes in packages: basic 99–190 PLN net/month (updates, backup, monitoring), standard 300–500 PLN/month (+ security scan, small tasks, report), extended 500–799 PLN+/month (WooCommerce, performance, development). The contract should define: scope and exclusions, an SLA with response times, backups with restore tests, access to code and reporting. A site without care "works" until the first infection or failed update — and then the repair cost exceeds a yearly package.

What does professional website care include?

  • Updates — WordPress, plugins, theme, PHP; safely, with tests and rollback (WordPress updates).
  • Backups — files and database, with periodic restore tests. A backup you cannot restore does not exist.
  • Monitoring — 24/7 uptime, load times, PHP errors, forms.
  • Security — malware scans, login attempts, hardening, incident response (WordPress malware removal).
  • Small tasks — content changes, banners, minor modifications within an hourly budget.
  • Monthly report — what was done, what was found, recommendations.

A good package also defines exclusions: large implementations, rebuilds and migrations are separate projects, not "part of care".

Packages and prices — what does the market look like?

Package Scope Price (net/month)
Basic Updates, backup, monitoring, SSL 99–190 PLN
Standard + security scan, 1–2 h of tasks, report 300–500 PLN
Extended (store/service) + WooCommerce, performance, 4–8 h of tasks 500–799 PLN+
Premium + 4 h SLA, on-call, development, integrations 800–1,500 PLN

Prices depend on the number of sites, traffic and plugins. A WooCommerce site needs more than a business card — post-update tests cover the purchase path, payments and shipping. When comparing offers, look at scope and SLA, not the price alone.

SLA — what should the contract guarantee?

  • Response time (when the vendor acknowledges and starts diagnosing) and repair time (when the problem is solved) — separately for priorities: critical (site down), high (forms/payments), normal (cosmetics).
  • Ticket channel — email, form, phone; with acknowledgement.
  • On-call — whether failures on weekends and holidays are handled (and within what time).
  • Backups — frequency, retention, storage location, tests.
  • Access and ownership — code and access belong to the client; password rotation after the collaboration.
  • Reporting — a monthly summary and recommendations.

A model SLA for a revenue site: critical within 4 h, high within 8 h, normal within 24–48 h. SLA models are also described for stores in PrestaShop support — the mechanics are analogous.

When does care pay off?

  • The site generates leads or sales — downtime means lost enquiries; 4 hours of peak outage cost more than a year of the standard package.

  • You run a store — updating payments or shipping without tests can halt sales for hours.

  • You do not want to think about tech — care moves backups, updates and monitoring to the vendor.

  • The site has already been "de-malwared" — recurring infections signal missing care; after malware removal, a permanent package is worth implementing.

  • Conversely: a simple blog with no revenue traffic can get by with DIY WordPress administration — as long as you are disciplined about updates and backups.

Frequently asked questions

How much does WordPress website care cost?

Packages start at 99–190 PLN net per month (updates, backup, monitoring); standard with faster response and small tasks is 300–500 PLN/month, and extended care over a store or service: 500–799 PLN net and more. With multiple sites or heavy traffic, prices rise.

What does care cover beyond updates?

Backups with tests, uptime monitoring, security scans, incident response, small content tasks and reporting. Extended packages add WooCommerce, performance optimisation and a development budget.

Does care cover repairs after a failure?

Repairing current failures should be within the package scope (with an SLA response time). Large implementations and rebuilds are separate projects. Settle this in the contract — "care" without defined responsibility is fiction.

How do I choose a care vendor?

  • Check: the actual package scope, an SLA with numbers, the backup approach (and whether restores are tested), the ticket channel, reporting, access and code rights. Ask for references and test the communication before signing.

Can I change care vendors mid-way?

Yes — the contract should provide for handing over access, the code repository and documentation. If the current vendor "holds" access or code, that is a warning sign — and the change will be harder. Code and access ownership is the standard.

WordPress care or WooCommerce store care?

A store needs an extended package: purchase path tests after updates, payment and order monitoring, a larger hourly budget. A standard "company site" package will not cover a store's needs — compare scope and choose a package with WooCommerce.
